I use an Oly C-5060 w/ PT-020 housing and YS-90Auto strobe. I currently use a fiber optic cable. However, on the Oly site I did see I can purchase the TTL shoe that connects the camera to the housing TTL port. From there I can externaly connect a TTL cable from the housing to the strobe for TTL.

The question I have is what TTL cable do I need to connect the strobe and Oly PT-020 housing port? I do not know if the TTL connectors are standard.

Thanks

Jim

There are previous threads on this in great detail. Some may be listed below in the related topics box. Oly uses a proprietary ttl signal, apparently. In order to use the hotshoe and get true ttl, you have to replace the Oly bulkhead with the Heinrich/Weiskamps circuit board and bulkhead (Reef Photo and Video sells these) and then I believe you use the Nikonos type connector.

Hi Jim

As Larry says , you will need to replace the bulkhead on the housing with one supplied by Matthias www.heinrichsweikamp.net

You will also need a Sea & Sea sync cable #17100 - it's the Nikonos / Sea & Sea cable .

I have been using one very successfully for over a year now , and have just bought another for my other housing .
