THANKS!

Exactly what I was looking for. Looks like not much change through Friday anyway.

True there's not much change in the forecast, but in general this swell is larger and much more southerly than is normal for summertime. Not dangerously so, but it looks a bit rowdier than normal. I personally would not cross in my little boat from Dana Point to Catalina in these conditions.

I would mostly be concerned about the Coronados, since there's not a lot of protection there from a direct southerly. Famous spots like Keyhole (southern tip of North Coronado) would likely be off the menu. Lobster Shack and Middle Grounds, still possible.

For Catalina you should be fine. The crossing from Long Beach is very sheltered from a south swell, as is the north side of the island that's most commonly visited by the day boats from LA. The 30th is a ways off, too. The conditions will likely be back to normal by then. (Small & westerly.)

More on trip report, but Los Coronados was just as mentioned above. Key Hole was pretty gnarly looking so we skipped it. Lobster Shack (twice) and Middle Grounds (Boomers) was our 3 dives. Trip out and back were pretty dang nice.
