I have a yellow dive cylinder, with a sticker that says Sea Hornet Super Steel. I'm in Australia.
It's filled at 232 bar. I am trying to work out what size it is. Should I consider it a Steel 10L ?
The tank markings are as follows.
top row:
BS5045/1/MnH/S 1086 P91 <stamp ASAH> S10D 4C93
middle row:
EMKR - 03480 <stamp S10> 11-92 TP 36.5 MPa CP 24 MPa
bottom row:
WC 11.6L TARE 15.9 kg
So far I have worked out:
BS5045/1/MnH/S - British Standard 5045 Part 1 Mangalloy steel spec
EMKR - 03480 - serial number
11-92 - manufacture date
TP 26.5 MPa - Test Pressure for hydro test
CP 24 MPa - Charging Pressure (24x10=240 bar)
WC 11.6L - water capacity
TARE 15.9 kg - weight of tank, empty w/o valve
Is the WC value what is referred to when talking about this tank ? Is it a Steel 11.6L ?
I'd appreciate any assistance with working this out.
