Trying to change profile Picture

I have been trying to change my picture in my profile. I must be doing something wrong as it keeps saying failed to upload. Help!

What file type are you trying to upload and how large is the file. Are you uploading from your computer, or linking from another website?

Does it give you any other information in the error message?

It is a jpg file and is only 229 kb. I am uploading it from my computer. I will try again but I think the error message just says failed to upload.

I just changed my profile picture no problem. So...

What's odd is I tried it again and this time even though I received the file upload error, it actually updated my profile pic with a 300K image. I've got the new Firefox 3.5.7

I am using IE 8. It shows the profile picture as being changed but it doesn't change the picture on my posts.

The picture of you in the blue water in the above post is your Avatar picture.
Use http://www.scubaboard.com/forums/profile.php?do=editavatar to change it.

Your Profile picture is the yellow seahorse in the coral.

still, it usually tells me it failed, but it lies. it says that, but it uploaded just fine. i ignore it.
