Did two dives last Sunday.
1st dive in cold fresh water to 110 feet -no problem equalizing, the black abyss surounding us whilst floating along a vertical wall lit up by lights was very eerie.
2nd dive to about 55 feet -no problems equalizing untill I adjusted my hood near my ear which caused a vacum (I think) inside my inner ear pulling up mucus to it. I had to abandon the dive after as equalizing was imposible.
The rest of the day I had symtoms of a blown ear and hence went to the doctor today and was told I just had an inner ear infection -no damage to the ear drum.
Anyone else have these same problems if they've adjusted their hood while at depth?
I'm thinking of using a decongestant on future dives.
