I have a Hollis x55 non bungeed wing that I use with my lp95s. I have only dove these with my drysuit, and no weight. With this wing I have been having a horrible time trying to dump the air from it. When I pull the butt dump it doesn't work unless I raise that part of the wing, and for the inflator dump I have to move into a nearly vertical position to get it to dump. Has anyone else had these problems with the wing or know how to correct them?

thanks

Yeah, you need to learn to dive with a wing  It's completely normal. Air wants to go to the heighest point. In a wing that means normally above the dump valve inlets. To dump air you need to raise the inlet so that it becomes the highest part of the wing. In other words: raise your butt or raise your shoulder and you will be fine.

As far as the inflator dump, make sure you can pull the inflator high enough above your shoulder. You should adjust your trim somwhat to dump air, but not by moving into vertical position. Maybe the inflator is too tightly connected to the harnass? You should be able to move the inflator itself above youtr shoulder while being horizontally trimmed.

What do you mean "pull your butt dump"? Remember the position of your body and the wing in relation to the water column. When you are trying to use the butt dump instead of pulling down you should be pulling the string up towards the surface and not down towards the depths. This might be what you meant but lets just be sure before we move onto other things.
