Was wondering if anybody had any experience with tropical dry suits, in particular the DUI Latitude 30/30? What features differentiate tropical dry suits from say a thin, shell tri-lamintate suit like the DUI TLS?

Thanks!

The main difference is the 'tropical' drysuit doesn't have attached booties. Which is absurd, IMO, because if you look at most people's ankles, you would have to wear the ankle seal halfway up your lower leg so it wouldn't leak due to the opening the achille's (sp?) tendon would create.

If you're going to get a drysuit, just go ahead and get a 'real' drysuit that you can use in all waters.

I have a DUI CLx50/50 but that think that is a bit heavy and much for a tropical dive.

It looks like you're right about the ankle seal though. Upon closer inspection of the 30/30 pic on DUI's site, they're barefoot! You could hardly tell. It looks like the 30/30 suits use a different type of material though. Looks like it's time to shoot DUi an e-mail to get the lowdown.

Thanks for your answer guys...
