Hey,

Did you know this:
http://www.triple-l.biz/SB-2004-001.pdf

While I am searching around their website, I just find out this warning message.
So, it DOES MEAN that I can’t use the large or heavy tank with their BCDs?

Now I can say why Triple-L BCD doesn’t have any bushing and nut at the center of the backpack for the double set up like SP BCD. They must know their weakness at least.

Did they fix the problem already? Please share your knowledge about this matter.

Thanks in advance,

Yeah, seems like someone posted this link before. Rather than a weakness, it sounds to me like people were using the product outside of it's intended function.

I mean, if you want to use doubles, buy a BC designed for it, and listing that as an option.

No, I am wondering if you have Triple_L BCD with the manual?

The manual indicates, “Your BC is designed to work with a wide range of tank sizes and configurations.” In addition, the tag on BCD also shows the double band set up. For example, the small sized Pegasus BCD can hold up to 44 lbs that is almost equivalent to 46lbs on SP Knighthawk.

I don't think that this applies to the Orion. The strap does not go behind a piece of plastic on that model. They also sell a double's kit for it that consists of a longer strap to secure the 2 tanks to the BC.

Just checked the Triple-L web site and they only offer a dual tank kit for the Orion.

Yes, you seem to be right since Orion has its own double wing and kit. But, the warning message also pointed out the large sized tank such as LP 95 (15 liters). AL 80 = about 11 liters. Even though I don’t intend to use the large single tank on Triple_l BCD, it is a disappointed to me that there is no problem with double AL 80s with SP BCD.
