I live in Pa too and a few of us are thinking about making a trip there. My great uncle served on it and so did a few of the other guys that want to dive it either have family that served on it or have served on it themselves. My only issue with diving it is most charters rent you al 80 tanks creating a not worth while dive so we are trying to find a place to rent steal tanks or drive up.

why not jusy try and rent an AL100? maybe try a low Nitrox mix so you can have more BT??

Call MBT divers, they rent steel tanks if you want.

Only you can answer that. It's a very good dive but it isn't the only good diving in the area. No reason you have to travel there and dive only the Oriskany unless you are planning a weekend jaunt that leaves only a day for diving. I probably wouldn't find that feasible for anything. What kind of trip are you planning?

Gary's Gulf Divers (algulfdiver on here) will rent steel tanks with Nitrox. He also has a fast 6-pack to the Mighty O.

Go to the Keys, much better than that one dive. You can do the Spiegal Grove if you want some deep iron.

Have you been there? I thought not. Gary does two dives on the Oriskany, with enough time to do something in the afternoon. Viz is generally 75'-100', and currents are generally manageable. Plus, the Gulf coast has beaches, a rare sight in the keys, IIRC. I've dived both, and the Gulf is 1) closer 2)cheaper 3) friendlier.
