I have been to the BVI a couple times on bareboat charters with one of the charter companies. We did those trips with 4 couples and that made the trips affordable. I now however have some time set aside to take a trip there again, but I think I'm only going to have 2 couples for the trip. Any recommendations for a charter by owner options? I know that some of these can be affordable compared to the charter companies, but I'm looking for recommendations.

I would also consider renting a house on Virgin Gorda for the week. If any one has a recommendation for this, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks.

I am not too expert on the charter industry, but I would have thought you shouldn't have too much trouble coming up with a charter boat for 3 couples.

In terms of renting houses on VG, you have quite a lot of options. I always suggest Nail Bay, which is a housing association, but because so many of the members are 'temporary' residents, they pool their houses and villas in a central rental pool, and that includes options for a variety of budgets. Plus you have the hotel type advantages of communal restaurant and pool.

Another option you can look into is whether you can bolt onto a larger charter on one of the liveaboards (Cuan Law or Promenade), although that may not be the cheapest way to go.

Hope it all works out for you - it is always nice when visitors come back. Feel free to PM me if I can help with any specific issues.

Please feel free to shoot me an email or PM regarding accommodations on Virgin Gorda.
I've been here for 8 years now and hopefully can send you in the right direction.

You'll love staying on VG if you like peace and quiet, little traffic and easy going people.

Jeff
