Just got back from a fantastic trip to Coz. Based on the info from this site I stayed at the Presidente and dove with Scuba Du. They really spoil you, their workers are diligent and professional, they tote your gear to the dock, assemble and afterward clean and carry your gear. The dive masters are very professional and know their trade. On time, attentive and able to keep it all going smooth while showing you the sights, despite a waiting line of dive boats. Unlimited shore dives are a nice touch with a modest reef and their own sunken barge easily assessable.
In August, as in any busy time, book your dives early and if possible use the dive package since the boats fill up early.
Had great weather and excellent visibility and an overall great time.
Con: Not much, some days the dive boast had 2 to 3 dive groups of 4 to 6 divers, so a bit cramped, but they pulled it off well, night dives were mixed since one dropped us off too far away from the reef, while the other two night dives were great.
Presidente seems like the BEST on the island, first class, call of pain from the isle’s signature cement beds brought an immediate extra foam pad, food was good to better than expected and I heard that their fancy Italian restaurant was very good, even for US standards, from more than a few guests.
Will try hard to get back this fall!
 
So glad that you had a great time in Coz and that you liked the dive op- We were very satisfied with ScubaDu and would not hesitate to use them again. We have made an impulse decision tonight- that is to go back to Coz for Labor Day weekend, I can hardly believe it! We will hopefully be able to get the 2 open spots on a trip with friends who have invited us. We will be using Dive Paradise. They have done this Labor Day dive trip for years, with a group, always using Dive Paradise and having a great time. I don't even know the name of the hotel, it's the one by Dive Paradise, maybe even owned by Apple also? Well, I'm off to dreamland...
