We were in Cozumel for a week, March 25th-Apr 1st, but took a day off to head over to the Mainland to dive a cenote. We have been talking about doing this for several years and finally decided it was time to take the plunge! We contacted several different operators in PDC, and after much deliberation, decided to go with Nicholas at www.cenotexperience.com.mx

Here is my trip report on the cenote diving:

Thank you again Nicholas! :D

I will have my Cozumel Trip Report posted over on the Cozumel Forum this week which includes this day and also the day we spent touring Chichen Itza. It was a good trip overall but the HIGH moments of the trip were definitely the Cenotes with Nicholas and the day at the Mayan ruins. We hope to come back down later in the year and do a full trip of cenote diving and visiting more ruins. :D

Gald you had a good trip. Brings back some great memories, wish I was there now!
Although I was at Blue Hole this weekend, it was cold with winds gusting to 74mph, so that was almost as good :)

thanks. It was a great day of diving. :D

I forgot to mention that the water temp was around 77 degrees according to my Suunto. Ron and I both wore 5mm suits with hoods and were plenty warm. I know some people dive the cenotes in a 3mm but I think on long dives like this you would get cold pretty quickly, especially because you are going so slow and not kicking much in order not to silt or hit any of the cenote appendages.
