Mrs. LD and I just got back from our honeymoon dives in Bora Bora and Moorea. We did 4 dives in Bora Bora with Dive N' Smile and 2 dives in Moorea with Moorea Fun Dive. Both of these are small operations and we were very happy with the diving, the service and the prices. We deliberately avoided Top Dive based on recommendations from friends who had dove with them.
Patrick (Dive N' Smile) was just awesome! He may be a one man shop (not sure), but his service, equipment and guiding was first class. He picked us up at our hotel dock with the BCDs and tanks and we were on our way. He used DIN high pressure (300 bar) tanks and all of our dives were 58-61 minutes with him. He not only showed us the big fish, sharks and rays but also took the time out to show us the small sea life. He was also very funny and has a great sense of humor. The first day of diving it was just the Patrick, my wife and me; on the second day of diving there was just one more person with us. When I saw the Top Dive boat with 10 divers on it, knowing that they were also more expensive than Patrick I was even happier. He doesn't have much of a website unless you read French, but I found him on FaceBook and we emailed through there.
Moorea Fun Dive is also a small shop (husband and wife) and they were wonderful as well. We use our own gear with them as they had yoke tanks. The water wasn't as clear in Moorea, but we saw plenty of black tip sharks and a couple of lemon sharks with a few rays as well. Our Moorea dives were about 40 minutes which is about what I expect given me being an air hog.
Both of these shops can be found on TripAdvisor I believe as well.
