I was curious if Nitrox is a prerequisite for Trimix for TDI? I Haven't quit figured out if I should take the Nitrox before Trimix. I do alot of Heliox Diving for my carrer in commercial diving. So I understand the physics behind both. But mainly I want to do it so I can work up to deep shipwreaks. So I belive that I will need them both for deco bottles and such am I correct.

TDI requires advanced nitrox and deco procedures prior to trimix training since you will be using nitrox mixes 50%+ for deco.

Thanks Dave for the prompt reply that answers my question.

You could also say that Extended Range is the next course in the set before Tri-Mix. However, it is not a required course as the first two are. You can read many dicussions concerning the need (or lack of need) of extended range. I would suggest it, if for no other reason than the information and understanding that you gain from taking it. I don't know how much you have looked into Tri-Mixing but it is EXPENSIVE. Anyway you can avoid using but at the same time obtaining the depths that you need is a good thing in my book. Just an opinion though.

It's obvious enough. What he is trying to say is, er, uh...well what he means is (no, no, that's not it)...therefore it goes without saying...uh... Oh hell, I'm out. Could be a deep air plug but maybe we should run it through babelfish.

To be a leet deep sea diver you must be as rich as bill gates and use trimix to avoid the rapture of the deep. ;)
