I did a search for this but nothing came up.
I am planning on travelling around Indonesia and Central/South America next year. I am a DM and would like to do the IDC and pickup work along the way. My question is, how do you Instructors who move from country to country manage the gear? Is it a case of just having to put up with the extra baggage?
How about smaller accessories like reels, compass, SMB's and torches? Do you carry your own or use the dive centres?
It's the only stumbling block for me, can't really see a way around it.

Cheers.

Ian.

Just clothes and a passport.

The rest can be found locally if you are going to DM, instruct etc....the dive shops should be able to provide you with basic gear?

Travel light, bear in mind that if you loose gear (increased risk when traveling often, shipping it, or whatever), you are going to end up using the LDS' gear anyway..?
