I agree with those saying it's not worth the effort figuring out how the travel gas thing would best work. My uneducated guess is you're doing a lot of work for each dive depth figuring that out to get maybe a few minutes more bottom time. Add to that that this is the first time I've read a question like this since joining SB 14 years ago, I'd just stick with the best nitrox mix.
