Traveling with a case

How are you guys traveling with your UW case? Do you lock it closed for transit on the airplane? Just wondering...

I would (and will) leave mine open during the flight. Seems like the right thing to do. Just to be safe.

Arent you worried about the seal getting banged up, or do you wrap it in somthing?

If you are referring to the housing, I remove my o-ring after each trip and keep it lightly lubed in a plastic bag. My housing is locked shut but with no o-ring & no port...it is not air-tight (for pressure changes).

I would do the same. Remove the O-ring and keep it in a plastic bag.

When I travelled with my camera and housing recently, I wrapped the housing in some clothes with the clasp latched but not shut, so some air exchange was possible.

Didn't notice any stray hairs or debris in the housing upon my arrival.
