Hi all,

I am planning a trip to St. Kitts in March' 2010 to visit my daughter. We will be diving in St. Kitts and would like to island hop to Saba for some diving there, as well. Does anyone have any contact info for a shuttle boat from St. Kitts to Saba (and back)? I have the plane schedules for traveling between the two islands but I would rather go by boat than plane. I would greatly appreciate any info.

Thanks in advance,
dvguy

Hi

There is no direct ferry service between St. Kitts and Saba. You can fly to St. Martin and then take the ferry over from there (Edge). It leaves in the morning and returns in the afternoon. Saba without doubt has the best diving in the region so would plan on spending at least three or four days there if you can. Sea Saba is the dive shop we use and is highly recommended.

Sorry to disappoint but there is no ferry service that travels from St Kitts to Saba. You will have to fly or charter a local boat here to take you direct.
If you need any help on the St kitts diving, contact me or have a look at my website St Kitts Scuba Diving information - mystkittsdivebuddy- the underwater world on the island of St Kitts
Remember to factor in your "departure taxes" when flying between islands. St Kitts is US$22, I believe Saba is US$5, I think you do not have to pay in St Martin if you are merely travelling through, best to check though as these add up quickly when "Island Hopping"

There is also a Liveaboard does the St Martin Saba Statia St Kitts route.

Enjoy your vacation, pm me if you need anymore information
