I had my worst customer service experience with DiversionOZ.
I prepaid and booked 3 weeks of travel with this company in the form of hotels and a diving liveaboard and needed to cancel my trip.
While at first they were somewhat optimistic, they told me after 2 months (during which I repeatedly emailed them to get some information with scant response) that they would refund me nothing. The best they could do was a 400 AUD credit on a future trip. Which, in light of the almost 5000 AUD I spent with them, was cold comfort.
No refund, despite having given them notice 2 weeks in advance of travel. According to their website, 50% should be refundable minus a service charge.
When I investigated the situation independently with the hotels, some of them had a policy of refunding 50% for my situation.
While this may or may not be the case, it feels to me that DiversionOZ capitalized on my need to cancel my trip, or their vendor relationships are not strong enough tohelp me in any way.
My advice is to book your hotels and liveaboards directly rather than deal with this company. For me, booking with DiversionOZ was a huge waste of time and money.
