The 2010 TransPac has an updated cummerbund, called a hip pad. This used to be a larger/longer piece of cushion which gave some folks problems if they were tall and slim...they needed a larger size TransPac for their height, but the cummerbund was too long and would overlap at the waist. The new hip pad is shorter to fit a wide variety of divers, yet still gives the protection/cushion desired. This will help with sizing issues.

The next update is the sideplates. TransPacs have stainless steel sideplates that attach between the bottom end of the shoulder strap and the waist belt. We've narrowed them to give divers more "real estate" on the waist belt for accessories, pockets, etc.

We've taken away one epaulet and updated a few cosmetic things as well.

Best,
Kathleen
