Im looking to buy a transpac and turn it into a Nomad. My only question is can I take the harness off of the "backplate" on the transpac and replace it with a one piece webbing like I have on my BP/W set up?

And before someone tells me to just buy a nomad, I already have the butt plate and ring bungees from side mounting my bailouts. So i figured I might be able to save a bit of coin retrofitting a used Transpac.

Thanks

A TransPac is simply a soft backplate with 2-inch webbing sewn to it to form the shoulder and waist straps. We then add the shoulder pads and hardware, plus hip pads (for a basic TransPac). The Nomad "TransPac" does not have any hip pads, due to the sidemount application.

If you have a TransPac, you can remove the hardware and shoulder pads and weave it onto the Nomad XT Wing, plus add a buttplate and bungees. We show you how in the manual (see our online library).

I hope this answers your question,
Kathleen
