transpac difference's

I can get a older version of a transpac for around 100 bucks. It is in very good condition. Wondering what the difference between older version and the new transpac II. I noticed that this one can't be stripped down like I heard about the II. What other difference's are there? Do you think it's worth $100 or should I buy the transpac II for about $300

A new TranspacII for $300 would be a killer deal.

Differences between the II and the older models appear to be minor and mostly cosmetic. Yet I have to say I have the 3000 series and have never used any of the older models.
