Tough choice. Cozumel, Belize, Roatan, Freeport.

I'm going on a cruise in May. I'm going with a large group on non-divers, so I have limited myself to only one dive. I am a certified beginner. Which location do you think I should dive?

Cozumel - the drift dives are awsome. You can see a lot on a two tank drift dive.

#2 Belize. I've never been there but I think a two tank dive there is not enough.

Either of the three, Cozumel, Roatan or Belize would be great, as I have been to all of them. Freeport woud be off my list as I was unimpressed. A couple of considerations, Cozumel will be a drift dive and Belize will be a long boat ride as the reefs are far from the area the ships tender.

I have dove all but Roatan. The best diving in Belize is the outer atolls. I don't think you will have time for those. I liked Freeport because it offered a good variety for the week: wrecks, reefs and caverns. I agree though with what's been said already; if I had one day, I'd go with Cozumel. The diving is great and no worries about time.

I haven't been to Belize, but as has been said, the good diving is going to quite a boat ride out.
I also haven't been to Freeport, but have done some diving in the Bahamas. It was great diving, but not as good as Cozumel or Roatan IMO.
Cozumel was fantastic-you can't go wrong there!
That said, I actually enjoyed the diving in Roatan better. It has been my favorite place so far. It is very easy diving with very shallow reefs, so might be better for a beginner diver.

I think you'd probably be very happy with either Cozumel or Roatan

All three places are awesome, if your on a cruise ship sounds like Cozumel might be the best spot
