Just did the math this evening and 2010 was a great year of diving!! I spent a total of 33.5 hours underwater. Averaged just over 38 minutes per dive. Too lazy to calculate average depth. Total of 52 dives. Only things that would have made it better are MORE dives and a tropical vacation. :D I didn't start diving again until April so I think I can easily make this year better by doing both.

2010:

128 dives, 123 hours
started diving double in august
started deco procedure in september
started diving dry in october
started scooter in october
started cave dive in december

12 caves dive (more cave dives plz!!)

I don't keep track, but I easily had over 110 dives in 2010, and I would say that my average bottom time of all those was 45-60 minutes. So between 82.5 and 110 hours, let's pick 95 hours underwater just to be even. Just under 4 whole days underwater...not bad ;).

Let's hope I can do better in 2011.

Peace,
Greg

Ya know, the only reason I added it up was because of another topic. Someone posted about the bottom time being more important than the number of dives. Some would do 10 dives at 10-15 minutes each in a day just to rack up the numbers. I'm averaging almost 40 minutes each and ranging from 30-115 fsw, I'm happy with my totals. I'd love to be able to do more but I am not a shore diving fan and boat diving costs money. I will NOT tally up how much the boats cost this year. :cool2:

Dude, if it wasn't for shore diving my numbers would be WAAAAAY lower. But I hear you about boat charters, I've been doing a bit too many of them lately due to weather and water conditions lately :/ .

Peace,
Greg

As with everything scuba, the cost shouldn't be counted - lest your wife finds out how much it REALLY costs :)

I got 169 dives in, average dive time of 62mins for 2010. I like looking up how many days I have been underwater for as well and it has been just over 20 since I started diving :)
