I'm in the market for a topside lens for my SP-350. It has a .37mm thread size. Will "any" lens with that thread size fit the camera? I'm not finding specific compatabilities around the sites. I'm looking for either a fisheye or a wide angle, that's to be decided later.

I know that the olympus lenses require a conversion tube to add on their lenses, but what about the others?

Is a lens just a lens? No camera specificity, just dependent on the thread size?

I apologize if any of this seems foolish, but I'm an add-on lens virgin.

With my older 5060, the Oly conversion tube was needed to place threads near the end of the lens, to which the wide angle/ tele could be attached. Because of the way the 350 lens extends out, I expect that it is the same. That probably means that you need the extension tube (or something similar) whichever lens you use.

I don't know if there are any non-Olympus compatible lenses.
