Hi there

Following on from the tragic accident at Cocos, we have been thinking about some top tips to help keep divers safe whilst diving with sharks. I thought you might find them useful:

Top tips for cage diving with sharks

Top tips for diving with sharks without a cage or unguided.

We have focussed on safety tips based on my previous experience as a shark dive guide and have also included some tips for comfort during shark dives - which can be quite different to other types of diving.

Is this the appropriate place to post this? I checked the Special Rules and so I am hoping I have got this right.

Thanks all!

Good idea... I'm reminded of this near-miss when a Great White got inside the cage with a diver!

One very lucky diver... dunno if I would have remained quite so cool in similar circumstances
