Im planning a 6-7 months trip to south america in december. Gooing to start in Argentina + Chile -> Brazil (maybe) -> Bolivia -> Peru -> Ecuador -> Colombia.
I want to focus my diving spots to something like top 10 recommended sites.
my English is pertty poor so i hope u understood.
can someone help me with that?

Thank you!

wolf island and darwin arch in the galapagos and isla de la plata, just off mainland ecuador.

My personal preferences -

Argentina - Puerto Madryn
Brazil - Fernando do Noronha
Chile - Los Molles, Las Tacas, Punta Choros, Isla Juan Fernandez
Colombia - Malpelo (liveaboard only)
Ecuador - Galapagos

If you happen to get to Venezuela, you should not miss Los Roques and Morrocoy.

Just spent 5 days playing tennis with 2 Brazilians. Both scuba divers, tho. They raved about Fernando de Noronha. Check it out.

Malpelo island is surely one of the best diving spots worldwide, its confirmed on our trips frequently from very experienced divers. As the island has an exposed location to the open ocean conditions are not really predictable and you may not always have the ideal trip. But when Malpelo is good it is world TOP.

You may get there from Panama or Colombia, depending what Liveaboard quality you are looking for. Gorgona island in Colombia and Coiba island in Panama may also offer some quite decent diving with Whalesharks, Manta rays, Whitetips and in the right season Humpback whale watching.

Please check our video and fotos from the Malpelo trip with Yemaya in August 2012, was incredible!! DIVING TRAVEL REPORTS | MALPELO DIVING | COLOMBIA DIVING | COIBA DIVING
