A few days ago Lonely Planet published their list of the world's top 10 dive sites. It's an interesting list, with some sites like the Rainbow Warrior wreck not exactly typical for such a listing. In Australia, a minor public outcry occurred since the GBR was not on the list.
I wrote up my own list on my blog of what I consider the top 10 sites in the world. Here it is:
1. Blue Corner, Palau.
2. Monad Shoal, Malapascua, Philippines.
3. Manta Ray Village, Kona, Hawaii.
4. Gilimanuk, Bali.
5. Southwest Rocks, Australia.
6. Padre Burgos, Leyte, Philippines.
7. Liberty Wreck, Bali.
8. Botany Bay, Sydney.
9. Mil channel, Yap.
10. Great Barrier Reef, Australia.
I haven't been to Lembeh or PNG yet, I suspect that they would sneak into the list.
