tongue piercing and scuba

any problems with diving with a fully healed tongue piercing?

I know more than a few instructors with these things... if they can hack it, I suppose its okay.

im not concerned with the pressure as much as the breathing aspect of it.

ah....seems like there was an article in dive training recently about stuff like this. Does it interfere with the mouthpiece?

i've got a very good friend who dives with piercings in his tongue, nose, eyebrow and some regions which wouldn't be prudent to list in the forum.

and he's an instructor..

I guess that would depend on how big that ball is on the end of the stud.

... Just to be on the safe side would you consiter taking it out while diving?q
