I had a great dive this afternoon here. Vis was around 40 feet and there were swarms of fish everywhere. The lingcod were mating, the males swimming around with their mouths open and gills puffed out. An octopus tried to steal my video camera. I won the tug-of-war eventually. At the second corner I only saw one male wolf eel. There used to be 2 mated pairs, but it seems over the years they're petering out. The male that's left had some nasty-looking scars on his head. I saw some Silvergray rockfish (a species I've never seen before) and a decent-sized juvenile yelloweye rockfish (most of the ones I've seen here have been tiny). I wished I had my wide-angle lens on the video camera to capture the variety of schooling fish, but I was stuck with close-up stuff (which was still fun).
