Hello everyone,

We have a charter booked in Tobermory for July 31st to August 2nd, the coming long weekend. We can do a 2-tank dive for $57 inc tax based on a full boat.

The walk-on price for a 2-tank dive is $70 - $75, depending on the locations, so we can save $13 - $18 per person per day.

We have three days of dives to pick from, so we can vote on our favourites. I'm pretty sure the Forest City, Arabia, and the Niagara II are some of our favourites. Since we have our own boat, we can choose any dives we want, weather depending.

Please let me know if you're interested ASAP by posting here or contacting me by PM or email.

Thanks! :)

How was your Tobermory trip? Pics? Report?

I'm going there with a bunch of SB members this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. :bounce:

Hi guys, this thread was from last year's trip to Toby. We did also go two weeks ago for the long weekend, but I didn't start a thread for it. Sorry there was no year on the title.

Toby, as always, was awesome! We did my favourite wrecks in Toby - the Forest City, Arabia, Niagara II, King, Philo Scoville and Caves. Last time we tried San Jacinto and the City of Cleveland, the really far ones, and found San Jacinto to be ok while we got blown out of the City of Cleveland, so I can't say on that one. I've done all the others and find them ok to pretty good, a little broken up for my taste. The bottom temps were about 43F. Tobermory is a very pretty little place and well worth the drive! Great for families too...

Sorry, we didn't take any pics, though there are plenty of Toby wrecks to see. Check Warren Lo's and Dave Sheard's photography for some awesome shots.

We are planning a weekend in Kingston in the next few weeks, so let me know if you want to join. We will drive up Sat morning for an afternoon 2-tank dive, then do a 2-tank dive Sunday morning and head back. Let me know if you're interested...

Have an excellent trip this weekend!

HI Ayisha

We are another SCUBA group in the GTA called "Pelagic Divers" (hosted on meetup) - we have at least 5 active members; and just went diving to Brockville this last weekend.

If you join with this group, we will have more members per trip and can also have added synergies. The moderator is Allard Schipper a devoted diver.

thanks and regds

Hi Pras, We have about 40 divers in our group, so maybe you can join us. ;) We do not have a name and are not affiliated with any shop, we're just friends and buddies and always have an awesome time. We get deep discounts with the charters due to our numbers and we also get group discounts on some accommodations due to our numbers. If you'd like to join us some time, please let me know... :)

Hi Jessica,

Yes, this is an old thread. We are also going to Toby Aug 4th - 6th and we have 5 spots left but I haven't posted it yet. We did go last year as well, but not sure if I posted it on here. Good luck with your trip! Tobermory is always awesome!
