The LX has a pneumatically balanced second stage for easier breathing. I have one and it's great. On the breathing machine, the LX tests the same as it's higher ended brethren.
Why move up? Hey, if you have the bucks, go for it. However, same performance for less money....

I use the LX and they are fantastic. They are bulletproof and will last a lifetime.

i've got a titan (not the LX) and like it a lot. test drove a couple types during OW class. my wife didn't like it because it is much larger than what she wanted. she ended up getting a mares proton.
I tried both the Titan and the Titan LX. Ended up buying the LX because I felt it was a better breather.
