Opinions? I have an older Tusa Imprex that I bought used (which works great) but really like the looks and stats of the Titan LX. Hopefully someone has some experience with this reg... I want to know about the balanced part, is it an easier breathing reg? Anything special that anyone has run into when buying one that would be useful info before a purchase?
Any comments are appreciated...

use the search option and put in "Titan LX" and you'll find lots of posts about this reg.

For the most part, you wont' find much in negative comments. It's a good solid reg.

If you get the Titan LX "Supreme", it's envronmentally sealed. the normal Titan LX is not env sealed. If you do any cold water diving, you might want this option. I think it's $40 to $70 more for the option. You can also add the environmental seal kit later if you want.

I have a Titan LX Supreme with about 250 dives on it. No complaints. I recently switched to a Legend Supreme, but not because of any problems with the Titan - which I now use as my octopus. As far as "easier breathing" you likely won't notice a difference until you get quite deep - for me, the Titan was so much better than my previous reg (which was used when I bought it) there were so many improvements I can't really say if "easier breathing" due to being balanced is one of them. I will say it breathes very easily, and very dry - no leaks.

I've got a Titan LX, and like it. Easy breathing at any depth I've had it to (up to 116'). My son uses it now. I've never had an issue with it.

Thank you all, just as I suspected... there was a guy on the boat from my recent vaca that had one. I think I'll pursue getting one!

Before you buy, check out the Oceanic GT3/CDX-5. I'd say it's a similar performance reg, but a lot cheaper since it doesn't have the world "Aqualung" in the name.

You can pick one of theose up for $199 to $229.

I use a Titan LX Supreme. It has never given me any problems and I found that it breaths easy at 140' as well as under the ice. If you adjust it to the + versus the - obviously it will breath easier. I keep mine set approx half way. Hope this helps.

It is a workhorse that comes with a good price tag. I have a set myself and is great. In fact it is one of the best selling reg at the shop I am associated with.

I have been diving Titan LX's for about five years (approximately 900 dives). Currently I own 3--2 yoke, 1 din. They are relatively simple, rugged and good breathing regs. Last fall I bought a GT3/CDX5 to try. Non DVT, because I'm not sure I trust that feature. I only have a few dives (17) on the Oceanic. Usually I try to dive at least 50 dives on a new piece of equipment before I make a decision, but right now I vastly prefer the Titan LX.

Oh, LP currently has the Titan LX for 249.95.

Man, you gotta love this forum! I'll look at the Oceanic but the LX appears to be hard to beat. Thanks!
