Titan 2nd stage without QD discontinued?

I ordered a spare titan 2nd stage to use my old titan 1st stage as a pony bottle reg and what the store got in has the proprietary QD connector instead of the industry standard connector. I'm told that 2nd stage that allows me to use any of the many LP hoses I have is discontinued and only a 30" hose is available, though for a mere $50 aqualung will sell me adapter that will in theory allow me to use it with a useful length hose.

Is this accurate?

the part number for the swivel hose adapter (pn:128595)
This will allow you to use a non proprietary hose on the Titan QD.
