I just returned from a weeklong trip aboard Jim Abernethy's Shear Water. As has been posted here multiple times, it is an excellent shark/dolphin experience. This past week we spent 1 1/2 days at Tiger Beach and had the opportunity to do a Tiger Shark Night Dive. My daughter (age 16) and I jumped at the chance, while my wife and son (age 12) showed better judgement and stayed onboard! Here are a few photos of the tiger and lemon sharks from the dive. Larger (better quality) images and additional images from the trip are at:

WOW, that would definately take a set of steel ones. I don't know if I could do it. Great pics, and the ones with Sponge Bob in them cracked me up.

wow! i dont know if i could do it especially at night. props to you and your daughter! by the way how big were the sharks?

Amazing. I wonder if the dive operator would provide an escort or someone I can hide behind his/her back if I ever get to do such dive? :D

Great pics of what I am sure was a great experience!

Done a few night dives on Aliwal Shoal when the raggies are around, really amazing.

Thanks for the pics!

Lemon sharks, pretty cool.

Don't know if I could have talked myself into a night dive with a tiger though (I say that but I'd probably get caught up in the adrenaline and do it anyway - lol!). Props to ya.

Good shots, I don't know if I could have stood my ground for the photo of the business end of the tiger shark.

Great collection of photos on your site. The Tiger Shark shots are my favorite. My hat is off to you for getting that close to them.

Now i can see em all. Really like that last Lemon. Perhaps you can show these people that shot of your daughter from last year? That one made me laugh, cool girl that is for sure! I'll have to hire her as my underwater model one of these days (when this business starts paying enough to hire someone that is....:) )

Attached are the shots Mike is talking about. My daughter who was on the night tiger shark dive with me is quite adventurous and an excellent, experienced diver, especially for a teenager. On last years Wetpixel shark/dolphin trip on Jim Abernethy's Shear Water (www.scuba-adventures.com), Eric Cheng and I celebrated my daughter's 200th logged dive by hanging her upside down from the boat tied by her ankles while holding a bait crate for the sharks. It was empty, but made for a great photo opportunity. The photos by Eric are below.
