Good Morning everyone-

Anxious to hear how the Thurs people did

Becky

Stayed at 179lbs which I am happy with as it gives me the whole weekend to aim lower for next Tuesday.

1 lb. gone here!

I wouldn't be so excited about only 1 lb, except I've started excerising more than before, and I can now fit into my favorite pair of pants that I've ever owned, but haven't been able to fit into for about two years! Even though it seems like the weight isn't going anywhere... suddenly I started losing more inches per lb I'm losing. I don't quite understand it, but not gonna knock it!

Way to go!! That happened to me also. The weight is coming off slowly but the used notches in the belt are increasing. I accidentally slipped into another notch yesterday. It was too uncomfortable to wear it like that all day but at least I know that day will come.

Woohooo! First short term goal, to go from the 250# slider on the medical scale at the gym to the 200# slider, -3# and just hit 249 (and slight change) :-)

It has been slllooooowwww and steady, but at least it's moving. 24 pounds lost in 19 weeks. Seems to be only one pants size (40 to 38), but that's OK< don't need to buy new clothes just yet (too much scuba and photo stuff to spend money on)

Guess that's Dee's 1 pound of fat per week.

Week -Date -Loss/Gain Weight -Total loss
1. 4/8 0 274
2. 4/15 -4 270 4
3. 4/23 -1 269 5
4. 4/30 -3 266 8
5. 5/7 0 266 8
6. 5/16 -4 262 12
7. 5/22 0 262 12
8. 5/27 0 262 12
9. 6/3 -2 260 14
10. 6/10 -2 258 16
11. 6/17 0 258 16
12. 6/24 0 258 16
13. 7/1 -2 256 18
14. 7/8 +1 257 17
15. 7/15 +2 259 15
16. 7/22 -4 255 19 (38% of goal)
17. 7/29 -4 251, 23 (46% of goal)
18. 8/5 +2 253, 21
19. 8/12 -3 249, 24 (48% of goal)

Sorry I'm late. -1.4. Getting very close to my first goal!

Oh, i havent signed in for a while, been busy with moving, vacations and running around, but not enough exercise, poor diet etc, but getting back in the swing of it. Gained 4# over the last 3 weeks, now back at 229#, so only 11# lost overall. I will try to lose some for next week though!

I was not able to weigh in. My dad had his bronchoscopy or they attempted to on Thurs.

We did not have good news at all. His tumor is cutting off the upper lobe of his right lung and is dangerously on top of the aorta. It is also extremely vascular and could rupture causing a total bleed out killing him instantly.

They have started radiation immediately in an effort to shrink it and relieve the aorta pressure and improve his respirations.
If not it will only continue to worsen.

This week they will also be starting chemotherapy in conjunction with the radiation to improve the chances and can possibly increase his survival time by four months. Not much, but can be more comfortable and less of a danger for the bleed out.

I am still walking and hopeful that this won't put weight on me.

I am praying for things to just be as painless and comfortable for him as possible.

Cindy-

I'm so sorry to hear your news. I want you to know you are in my thoughts. We are hear when you need to talk to someone.

Hang in there,
Becky
