I recently bought an Ikelite housing and strobe for my Canon 30D. One of my favorite lenses, above water, is the canon 50mm f/1.4 prime. I don't have a macro lens but was wondering if anyone has experience using the 50mm f/1.4 underwater. I understand I wont be able to get up close and personal like I could with the 50mm f/2.5 macro.

I just bought a Tokina 10-17 so I don't have any money for an additional lens. I also have a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 - anybody have experience with this lens underwater?

My upcoming trip to Fiji will be my first trip with the Ikelite setup so I have a lot of work to figure it all out.

Thanks.

You certainly can add a diopter (Marumi or Canon 500D) to the 50 1.4. That will save lots of money and get you some really nice macro shots.
