We were at Grand Turk about 5 years ago, before the cruise ships. and loved it, dove with Oasis and stayed at Island House. We are thinking of going back, and wondered how it is post-cruise ship -- what changes on the island and the spirit of the place? Best place to stay? is Oasis still the superb dive shop it was? Thanks for any feedback you can give.

The Bohio Resort is still pretty much a laid back operation http://www.bohioresort.com/
Bohio is now in its third season and have built up a reputation of being an intimate and laid-back resort, where you quickly become one of the family. Our 16 rooms have private balconies with superb ocean views, air con, cable TV, fridges, and our 4 deluxe suites have kitchenettes. As well as an all-day bar snacks menu our Guanahani Restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and dinner offering local and international cuisine, which is a hit with guests and locals alike. Bohio is located on Pillory Beach which is wonderfully quiet and safe. Men’s Journal Magazine awarded it Best Snorkeling Beach!
