Hi, as a Junior Open Water Diver, I have noticed there is nothing for junior certified divers; who cannot afford or have time to dive all of the time. If there are any clubs or groups that encourage junior divers i would love to know. Thanks, Holly.

plus have a look at the bottom of this screen at other threads with 'junior divers' in the title & see if any have other ideas you might could use.

Does a shop in your area have club dives? I know I'd be happy to take a junior diver along on a fun dive. We encourage our former students to come up and join us on our open water weekends for fun dives when we are not diving with a class.

Scottri has a good point. Check out any local (somewhat local) dive clubs.

I have the same problem with my son. He only gets to dive if and when I dive. There is no one around his age that dives. (He just turned 15.)
Our local dive spots are currently shallow and low vis due to the summer drought, so a 2-3 hr travel one-way is required. His schoolwork and other obligations (mainly Sea Cadets) sometime get in the way of traveling for diving.

...that they are missing a junior dive club. My local dive center has a popular and active junior dive club. They have $25 one-tank boat dives once a month just for junior divers. They also get together and plan when to do their junior advanced classes together or just have pool parties together. Dive centers that don't offer this are missing out. Perhaps they just need to be reminded that the interest is out there. Get some diving friends together and propose a club.

If the original location is correct (the uk) and birmingham (about as far from the sea as you can get) id be amazed if there were enough junior divers to make it worthwhile organising anything.
PADI clubs tend to be rarer than bsac and joining the latter isnt an option due to the minimum age limit for diver training.
