Of all the lights we offer in the award-winning Sea Dragon light line, we are most impressed by the new Sea Dragon 1500.

First and foremost, this light is bright. Yes, contrary to most other brands, the Sea Dragon really does make the stated lumen output and it runs and runs, with a burn time of 70 minutes at full power of 1500 lumens. The light also offers very good regulation – so you won’t see any flickering in your underwater videos.

The new 1500 uses a COB LED. It is the latest technology in the production of LED arrays and offers a wide beam angle as well as a very image-friendly color temperature of 5700K and a color rendering index of 80.

Next, the beam angle – a generous 120 degrees wide, 80 degrees underwater. Very few lights offer an angle this wide with consistent coverage edge to edge.

A really nice feature is the sealed battery chamber, for two reasons; one – you can change batteries with a back-up battery right on the boat, and two – even if you flood the battery compartment, simply rinse and dry it. The light keeps working since the battery compartment is isolated from the light’s LED and electronics.
