I do hate the stupid narration on video's like that. "Scientists were astounded to find stalagites". Right.. since none of the scientists bothered to read any of the reports from the tens of thousands of divers who've dived there before.

True but they found that set of stalactites at or very near the bottom. That said, I agree it shouldn't have been a startling find.

I have to say though. I have been in the blue hole more than once and i dove in 'the Pit' cenote on Saturday...i have no idea why anyone would even bother going to the blue hole now that i've seen this... check out photos below
