Prize list has been updated. Here's the email blast (hopefully with working links) ....

12th Great Annual Fish Count
The 12th Great Annual Fish Count is THIS WEEKEND on July 13th. Help us count fish, and win a share of the raffle prizes, currently valued at over $4,000!!! View the full list of sponsors on our website. This year's grand prize is 3 days of 2-tank drift diving in Cozumel valued at $225 has been donated by Aquatic Sports and Expeditions, (a.k.a. Cozumel Diving with Sergio). The daily dive trips include a full lunch and their famous made fresh on the boat guacamole. Dives must be used by 12/31/13.

The data from these fish surveys is used by scientists, government agencies, and policy-makers, visit the reef page of the website to see some examples.

All you have to do is get underwater (snorkeling counts!) and identify what fish you see! Then head to Stage Fort Park for a great BBQ, and enter the raffle. There will be some great food and drinks for sale, as well as a touch-tank and tons of great raffle prizes. Water, lemonade, and ice tea will be available for free - it's a great day for the whole family.

Help us make this year's even bigger than 2012! Last year We again had the largest single-day fish count in the country, with 83 divers, and 90 surveys submitted submitted for the day. There were 38 unique species sighted, including rarities like the four-spot flounder and northern puffer!

You need a REEF ID number to participate, it's free and fast, all the information is at Great Annual Fish Count. Once you have a REEF ID, visit our registration page and sign up for a dive.

Best of luck on the Fish Count. I'm originally from the area and have to say, when I was going for my C-card up there, the first thing I was gonna do was join the NEADC because of all the cool things it did.

Prize update!!

4 nights for 2 adults in a standard courtyard room at the Hotel Flamingo just added to the 3 days of 2-tank diving with Aquatic Sports and Expeditions. Going to be a super sweet package for the winner.

Cozumel anyone? :)
