The choice in buying a BCD has to do with several factors other than forum member opinions. If you have unlimited money, then you need to visit several shops and talk with several people. If your budget limits your choice, definitely make a list of all the BCDs that sell within your pricerange and consider the features and what you get for your money. Because there are only a few companies who make BCDs for everyone else, many are very similar. Back floatation or back/side floatation makes a difference. Divers who swim around in protected coves looking at starfish have different needs compared to spearfishing and lobster catching divers. Overall, I would consider BCDs that offer the least drag in the water. P.
