I am buying a BCD with an air 2 and was wondering what everyone had to say about that option..also how often does it have to be serviced and what not..is it going to be separate from the servicing of the bc.

Here we go again...

We just did AIR IIs, maybe we can just answer the question and let it be? I'm not sure what the service intervals are, can someone else help out?

I do service on regs and Air II. They need to be serviced just as often as you 1 st and 2 nd stage ( if not more often) We have some air II on some of our rental gear and have nothing but trouble with them.
If I were buying a new BC I would not get an air II.

Just my 2 psi

Yearly service if you want the warranty to stay good

Air II, a costly and complicated fix to a problem that does not exist.

I love the air 2. The only problem is that we were on the 2 unit for my wife in 2 years and the 3rd dive on our trip, it free flowed into my wifes BC and shot her to the surface like a cork from 50 feet. The good thing was she just got down and we were not worried about bubbles in her blood. My air 2 has worked flawless for 3 years now. Just have a plan that if it sticks open and fills your BC, learn how to dump the air and kick down until you get it unstuck.

And you LOVE it?

Didn't you study AGE in your OW class?
