I saw this article today in Underwater Times. I'm just wondering how this all played out? Was he the savior, or the _________ who caused the scenario in the first place?

Also, the "shark" looks awful lot like a guitarfish to me (fawning grandparents aside) they can gum you to death!

Yeah, it's hard to figure out what it really is. Another photo when the fish was calm would have been nice.

However, with a leader wrapped around it like that, I am sure it was in a weakened condition which allowed him to pull it in so easily.
