I recently picked up a backscatter mini flash (mf1).

What settings do I change to accommodate the strobe?

For reference, I'd been using the tg6 with a backscatter macro wide video light with tremendous results.
My settings for the video light are j
- camera flash off
- camera allowed to only set iso between 100 and 400
- shutter speed fixed at 1/200
- exposure compensation: -0.3

With the strobe, I'll need to turn on the camera strobe obviously. But what settings?
I ask because the backscatter strobe isn't TTL. Meaning, it's not relying on the camera to determine how bright it should output. It's a manual-model strobe.
Since its manual, I recall seeing on backscatter's website that setting it (camera) to manual mode and then lowest brightness is better than fill-in mode. Because manual in least bright setting uses less (camera) battery and recycles the fastest.

What settings do you guys use with a manual strobe?

Thank you

I set my internal flash to 1/64 when using my strobe (Sea & Sea YS-01) on manual. While the MF-1 doesn’t have TTL, I set my internal flash to Fill-In when shoring in TTL.
