TG6. Not firing external strobes in microscope control sub-mode

It really took me a lot to get what was happening.
At the end my conclusion was that in Microscope control sub-mode the flash was working in a different way as I suppose it should.
With your post I Undestand now that the camera uses no-preflash when in manual flash and preflash in others settings.

I am guessing that must be different from the TG-5. I was instructed to leave it in TTL for all shots on the TG-5. I am a newb and still trying to figure out this underwater photography, but that is all I have done thus far. If it is the same, it might explain why my macro shots kind of suck. :)
I just bought a second YS-01 and am looking forward to trying dual strobes next week.
