Simple question: how does the TG-5 (with wide-angle lens) compare to the GoPro Hero 7 for wide-angle video quality? Assume everything else is equal (lights, tray, etc).

I know the TG-5 is better for stills, macro, etc. I'm just curious how they compare for wide-angle video alone, as some of the test footage I've seen from the new GoPro is quite impressive.

I have the new GoPro but Unfortunately only be able to test it out next weekend (25-29 Nov)...

Will get back to you with my impressions and video, but bear in mind I shoot a G7Xii for stills mostly and generally no wide angle or video :) So it will be a noob's opinion in relation.

from above the water, I'm really impressed with the GoPro so far

From reviews, I'm pretty sure you're much better off with the GP7 for videos. The TG5 has terrible battery life for 4k videos or any video taking for that matter.
