Yes, that's the most common problem, probably because it's the most widely used character that is affected.
The options seem to be to:
Compose in ScubaBoard instead of copying and pasting from a word processor.
Copy and paste, but then make corrections in ScubaBoard.
Use the method in Posts 38 and 40 in this thread:

None of these solutions are complete, thus my attempts here. But Langpad is limited as I will reflect in my next post.

So that leads to the other option:
Live with it, until / if they find a solution.
