Being new to this board I'm looking for those TX divers that may be interested in coastal diving. As TP&W moves forward on their artificial reef program with the sinking of the Texas Clipper later this year and other projects, our options will increase for decent near shore diving.
Does anyone here dive near shore ? Can you provide any advise on locations, conditions, or efforts to improve current sites?

Any Gulf coast divers that may have advise on diving artificial reefs in their area ?
Thanks, Jim

Starting at south padre, there is a tug, navy barge, and tri pod rig site also off mansfield there are rigs and liberty ships. American diving runs trips from south padre. There is an platform and barges off of corpus plus some liberties. Port o'conner has some liberty's Freeport has the Vancouver plus the V>A>Fogg conoco, Hlp Pyranmid reefs plusLiberty's and also the Old Bucaneer rigs.
